How it started

The first time we moved to Australia in 2017, my one and a half year old daughter fell in love with the wombat. Her wombat cuddly toy was named Wombi (pronounce WOM-bee) and never left her side. We read the book Diary of a Wombat by Jackie French over and over again. She still loves how the wombat takes matters in her own paws and does what she likes. After we left Australia in 2020, her interpretation of Wombi’s life became our life motto. In 2023 we returned to Australia and I decided to do what Wombi did: do what you like and enjoy and what gives you satisfaction. For me, that means sharing my passion for play, sports and hockey.

About me

I am a sports enthousiast, hockey trainer, coach and player, hiker and father of three. Sports, hockey, and outdoor activities are in my DNA. I have been playing hockey in youth and men’s performance teams from childhood to the age of 27 and in recreational teams afterwards. From the age of 15, I have been committed to encouraging people to exercise, play sports and play hockey. From minis to performance teams and from athletes with intellectual disabilities to starting kids, teenagers and adults. Over the years my expertise has shifted towards motivating and teaching U7-U14 children to play, sport and hockey.
